TAN SRI DATO’ SERI MOHD KHAIRUL ADIB ABD RAHMAN

GROUP CHAIRMAN

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Khairul Adib Abd Rahman served as Director-General of the Public Service Department (PSD) from 1 October 2019 to 16 January 2022. Prior to that Tan Sri Dato’ Seri, was the Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transports (MOT) from August 2017 before promoted to Secretary-General of the MOT on January 2019.

He has served the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development, Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment (MOSTE), Embassy of Malaysia in Japan and the High Commission of Malaysia in London. Upon his return, he served at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) followed by the Ministry of Education (MOE), as well as the Secretary General of Malaysia National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and the Malaysia National Point of Contact for the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) Malaysia.

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Khairul Adib also previously served in various Board including Employee Provident Fund, Inland Revenue Board, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan), MAVCOM, Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad, Konsortium Pelabuhan Kemaman Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Maritime Academy Sdn Bhd, Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd, MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Bintulu Port Authority, Port Klang Authority, Johor Port Authority, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd, Railway Assets Corporation, Northern Gateway Sdn Bhd, Razak School of Government and Bukit Kayu Hitam Development Sdn Bhd. He is currently the Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia and Malaysian Qualifications Agency.

AQLAN PACLEB

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

His first taste of exhibitions was 22 years ago, supervising the sales & events team at MINES Convention Centre. The last position he held was as the head of Business Development Department for MINES Group of companies / Country Heights Holding Berhad. He later on made an effortless transition when he took on the role as Exhibition Organizer and had organized as well as managed most all major industries in Malaysia.

His skills set not only covers the operations management, but he also heads the team for international & local sales and sponsorship which is the primary revenue generator for all exhibitions and events such as the Defense Services Asia (DSA), Oil & Gas Asia, ASEAN Electrical & Energy, Hospitality series amongst others.

He has been involved from all spectrums of the organizing of events in some 150 of exhibitions and events in the last 20 over years. He was responsible for bringing in a record sales revenue of RM40 million during his tenure as the Director of Sales and Operations for Defense Services Asia (DSA) plus his optimum Technical knowledge when it comes to Exhibition Operations Management has made him one of the most sought after personnel in the market.

ANITA JACOBSON

GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

Anita has been in the M.I.C.E industry for almost 3 decades now. She has vast experience and skills in the overall general management role as well as in Marketing Communications, Sales, Operations and VVIP Delegation Management programmes. Delivering presentations and briefings to high Government Officials such as the Prime Minister, Ministers, Ambassadors/ High Commissioners amongst others are one of her fortes.

In these last 3 decades , she was involved in the running of 12 Defence Services Asia (DSA) series, of which 4 she was the General Manager. She was also responsible in curating and improving the VIP Delegation Management system which today is recognised as one of the best in the world.

Besides the DSA series in the last 30 years, she has been in the senior management team of the running of some 100 exhibitions and events covering all key economy industries . One of her key fortes are being able to work well with various Government Ministries and agencies.

She has also extensive skills in crafting complex and overlapping Event Programmes and Agendas as well ensuring the smooth deliverance of each and every event or activity.

In her long tenure of overseeing the DSA series, she is also well versed with the requirements of attending and briefing each and every Committee which is set up by MINDEF to ensure the smooth organising of events such as DSA and LIMA.

JOHN CHUA

AGS Chief Executive Officer

John Chua started his career as a Quantity Surveyor with Gamuda Berhad in 1996. He then jumped into a totally different industry of Sales and Marketing in the Events Management industry.

He held a key position as Senior Project Manager in PICO International Sdn Bhd in 2002 till 2009. It was during his stint in this exhibition management industry which opened a network of connections from various industry leaders.

With the encouragement of associates and clients, he set up Idea Sempurna Services Sdn Bhd, an event management company in 2009 for 10 years and forged an impressive portfolio with various government agencies such as SME Corp, KPDNKK, MOSTI, MITI etc. He also was responsible for the construction of more than 50 special design booths and pavilions at some of the top and key exhibitions such as DSA, LIMA, OGA, APEC Malaysia 2020 etc.

During the MCO period , he was one of the pioneers to introduce Virtual Events to Malaysia and ran more than 40 Virtual Events/Forums since.

MEOR KAMARULZAMAN

SPECIAL PROJECTS DIRECTOR

Meor’s working experience spans 30 years in engineering and infrastructure management including the APAC exhibition venue. He is well versed in the implementation and control of operational procedures, systems and management performance.

He was formerly in the Education industry namely Limkokwing University and SEGi University before joining the AGS team.

Under his care, he has managed a team of event personnel, electricians, and maintenance staff. He spent some years heading up the set-up of international campuses in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.

Within AGS, he focusses on all Government liaison tasks including keeping a good network with all the relevant Ministries and Agencies . He is also responsible on all technical aspects concerning any events or exhibitions we run including meeting with all venue suppliers . He is also responsible for all security related aspects to all events

He is responsible to oversee the move in and move out of all events and exhibitions including coordinating with Logistics vendors to ensure the smooth delivery of exhibits etc.

He also manages all tasks related to company’s membership such as MACEOs, MATRADE, MITI, MOF, MGTC, MOGSC, TNB, PCEB, MAH etc.
